PRIVACY NOTICE

Last updated: 15 September 2026

This notice is an initial draft for legal review before publication.

Who we are

Green Energy Mills Ltd (GEM) is the controller of personal information collected through this website. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact ramin.esmaeilzadeh@greenenergymills.co.uk.

Information we collect

When you submit an enquiry, we may collect your first name, surname, email address, telephone number, business or organisation name and type, farm type where applicable, proposed turbine-site postcode or address, your relationship to the site, your reason for interest, approximate electricity consumption, existing energy or renewable technologies, optional notes, consent details, and technical metadata needed to operate and secure the form.

Postcode wind preview

If you request a postcode wind preview, we use the postcode to obtain coordinates and regional wind information, including data from NASA POWER. The result is preliminary regional information only and is not a site-specific engineering assessment.

Why we use your information

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, understand your requirements, prepare an initial desktop assessment, arrange appropriate follow-up, maintain business records, secure the service and improve the enquiry process. Our lawful bases may include taking steps at your request before entering a contract, our legitimate interests in responding to and managing genuine business enquiries, and consent where specifically requested. You may withdraw consent at any time, although this does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

Who receives the information

Authorised GEM staff may access your information. We also use service providers that help operate the website and CRM, including Framer, Google Cloud, Google Workspace and AppSheet. These providers process information under their applicable contractual and data-protection arrangements. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, GEM will rely on an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information while the enquiry is active and for as long afterwards as reasonably necessary for follow-up, business administration, legal compliance and resolving disputes. Records are reviewed and deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict processing, object to processing, receive portable information, and withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

You are not legally required to submit the enquiry form, but GEM cannot respond to an enquiry without the required contact information. GEM does not use this form to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our services or legal obligations change. The latest version and its update date will appear on this page.
